Xu Qing is ruthless and cold to start out with, which is a good change from Er Gen's previous novels like A Will Eternal and A World Worth Protecting.

In addition, Deathblade is a peak xianxia translator and is great at bridging the gap of western and eastern. I'm sure this novel will be very good in the future at him at the helm.

Very excited for the future of these novels and Beyond the Timescape especially.

In conclusion, if you've been a fan of Er Gen in the past, I highly recommend this.

I’m pretty sure this was already translated to a certain chapters somewhere else. I’ve read this.

If you have read Er Gen’s stories before, then it’s basically more of that in term of actions.

The mc is cruel, logical, and cold. It is a reflection of the world and how he was forced to grow up.

Er Gen is very vivid with some of the environment description and it makes for a great read. That or I might be too imaginative with it.

The story is quite well paced, you won’t feel bored from chapter to chapter. It’s quite a page turner. I’ll fill more once I start following this story again here. It’s worth a reread.

After reading 70 chapters :

The MC is really cautious, decisive, and smart. The story also progress quite fast. So many things happen in the first 70 chapters, one of which is that volume 1 ended. I am very happy and satisfied with this story so far.

As a long time er gen fans (issth, awe, renegade immortal), i am very excited with this new book. Er Gen delivers satisfactorily in this novel.

And as senior translator that included er gen books (issth and awe), i am pretty sure deathblade will do justice to translation of this books. I have read a world worth protecting, and the quality of that translations is quite bad. Only slightly better than MTL.

For those who have read a lot of translations, i can say for certain that rwx and deathblade are two of the top senior translator, with translation quality that are very very good. I will not read other’s translation of this same book, since i always prefer the best.
